AARP emailed information on some upcoming events to help seniors avoid fraud:
Con artists don’t care how hard people work. They steal billions from Americans every year. AARP Hawaii is launching the Fraud Watch Network and a series of educational and service opportunities in Hawaii to help consumers fight back. A brief description of these events is provided below.

AARP Hawaii is holding a statewide teleforum featuring the latest research information on fraud in Hawaii. The teleforum will include special guests:
· Scott Spallina, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu
· Lisa Nakao, Better Business Bureau Serving Hawaii
· Joshua Bailes, Commodities Futures Trade Commission.
